E-ing

#1. Make your own sentences out of the expressions you learned.

a. find (여러 뜻이 있지만 가사의 뜻으로 갈게요. '예상치 못한 상황에서 나/타인/물건이 어떤 상태임을 발견하다' 라는 뜻입니다^^;)

1) She woke up and found herself in a hospital bed.
2) We came home and found him asleep on the couch.
3) I suddenly found myself running down the street.

b. get (장소/위치에 도착하다. 이르다.)

1) I don't know how I got home last night.
2) What time did you get here?

c. turn to/into (변하다.)

1) Water turns to ice when it freezes.
2) That incident has turned into a completely different person
3) The debate turned into a fierce battle.

d. have got to  (=have to, must. ...하지 않으면 안된다. 해야 한다)

1) I've got to do this task.
2) You've got to be kidding me! 너 지금 농담하는거지? = 너는 지금 농담하는게 틀림없어

e. work (작동하다.)

1) the computer suddenly stopped working.
2) Neuroscientists study how the nervous system in our body works.

#2. Now we're moving on to the sonnet #2! In the first four lines in the sonnet, search the words you don't know and write down their meanings & example sentences on your notebook. Try to grasp the nuance of the word!
(이제 소네트 2로 넘어갑니다! :) 첫 네줄에서 모르는 단어 영영사전으로 찾으시고 그 뜻을 노트에 받아 적으세요. 예시문도 같이!
뜻이 너무 많을때는 6개 까지만 쓰셔도 됩니다. 중요한 것은 그 뜻들에 공통적으로 흐르는 뉘앙스를 파악하는 것입니다.)
