여기서 post는 '직업'(=job)의 의미로 사용됐습니다. 농구에서 post라고 하면, 자리를 잡고 몸 싸움을 하는 걸 말하고, 우체통은 영어로 postbox입니다.
무언가를 '세우는 이미지'를 주지만, 주로 정부의 정책이나 행보와 관련돼서 많이 쓰인다고 합니다.

We watched video about standardized test. It was so interesting to me. Because, there is a story was called “과거제도”. The exam is way of action about classical scholar’s dream. They wrote their ideal from contact with real world. Therefore, they was assessed in the exam, at the same time, they could checked their thinking. It’s very important the both aspect of “과거제도”. But, now, people pay attention to his value such as achademic background, work experience. When we approach exam, we have not any our vision, not only pass the exam, we will be swayed by their assessment.

Although standardized tests are sometimes controversial, they're simply a tool. As a thought experiment, think of a standardized test as a ruler. A ruler's usefulness depends on two things. First, the job we ask it to do. Our ruler can't measure the temperature outside or how loud someone is singing. Second, the ruler's usefulness depends on its design. Say you need to measure the circumference of an orange. Our ruler measures length, which is the right quantity, but it hasn't been designed with the flexibility required for the task at hand. So, if standardized tests are given the wrong job, or aren't designed properly, they may end up measuring the wrong things.

An examination is a way of realizing the dream to be a classical scholar. They wrote about how to make their ideals into reality. In this way they could examine their thinking as well as being assessed by government officials. The two aspects were very important in 과거제도. Now, however, people focus on their own value as a 'product', such as how good their academic backgrounds and work experiences are. When we only try to pass the exam without a broader vision, we will be obsessed with the result too much.
